Erhan warns against jumping into robotics too early. His guidance is to first use AI to improve operational flows, then layer automation on top.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAutomation first? I recommend going for some cool AI technology that can improve your process. What you can get out of it, then automate. Because in order to automate, you have to have a smooth demand and a streamlined demand.\u201d<br \/>\u2014 Erhan Musaoglu<\/p>\n<p>That strategy lines up with McKinsey\u2019s findings: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/capabilities\/operations\/our-insights\/ai-driven-operations-forecasting-in-data-light-environments\">using AI to forecast demand can cut errors by 50%<\/a> and reduce out-of-stocks by 65%. When your demand is predictable, automation pays off.<\/p>\n<p>Forrester\u2019s 2025 outlook reinforces this, predicting that companies that <a href=\"https:\/\/go.forrester.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Forrester-Predictions2025-Tech-Security.pdf\">adopt \u201cAI-first\u201d thinking<\/a>, prioritizing intelligence before infrastructure, will drive more sustained transformation than those pursuing tech for tech\u2019s sake.<\/p>\n<h2>Orchestration bridges the old with the new<\/h2>\n<p>Most fulfillment centers still rely on clunky legacy systems. Orchestration platforms are uniquely positioned to deliver this cross-functional visibility and control.<\/p>\n<h2>Orchestrate first, automate smart<\/h2>\n<p>The future of fulfillment isn\u2019t just about buying more tech.
